Meditation
What could be more awesome than designing meaningful, useful, interesting experiences that are unique to each person, using the technology of their human system—their mind and body?
For the last 14 years I have studied yoga and meditation one-on-one with my mentor and colleague, Marcel Allbritton. I have also continuously participated in formal programs and courses offered by Marcel’s mentor, Chase Bossart. Chase was a long-time student of Mr. T.K.V. Desikachar, who studied with his father, Sri Krishnamacharya.

I blend these perspectives with my expertise as professor of interactive media, user experience, and serious games to create meditation experiences.

An Inside Look at Meditation: Experiences for healing, support, and transformation
My experiences with meditation are more mind-blowingly cool than any science or yoga books I have read. I wrote this book because I want to share the joy and possibility of the kind of meditation I study, practice, and design.

This colorful, browsable book is filled with stories, creative meditation examples, and big ideas from science and from yoga. Click the button below to learn more.

Meditation Programs
Doing a meditation repeatedly over time can bring about systemic change. Marcel Allbritton and I have designed and delivered meditation programs to help healthcare professionals avoid burnout and to support university student success.

Meditation in Virtual Reality
Meditation and virtual reality (VR) are immersive, interactive, amazing experiences. What happens when you bring them together? Marcel Allbritton and I created meditations (such as Beach Meditation VR) to be done in Cubicle Ninja's Guided Meditation VR environments.
